It's the the day before the first day of school. I'm going to someone's house and on the way I see this guy I went to high school with. He tells me the first day is going to be cancelled for some reason, so we won't go in until the day after that. Dana calls and asks me if I want to go study with her. I say yes and she asks me to meet her in Concord. I go over to her house and she is there at first, but then leaves before me. I've left my binder and backpack (the backpack is blue) in her room so I go back in to get it. We meet up and are taking a walk in this forest around a weird pond. You can see things swimming below the surface. There are alligators, and we each get a big stick so we can poke at them. She's doing well at controlling hers but mine jumps out of the water and starts chasing me. It turns into a man, and he wants the keys to my car, but I run away. I get to my car and it's still a Jeep, but it's yellow. I'm at Best Buy with my mom, brother, and Rose. I've brought all my own CD's with me and I have them in a red basket, organized alphabetically. I buy two music CD's and then a DVD of a "Grosse Pointe Blank" TV show. It's just the first two episodes. I find another one that has the 8th and 9th episodes, but I want to buy them in order so I don't get that one. It's the day that Rose and her mom arrive, and we're having a huge picnic out in some park. This older lady who is a former teacher of mine tells me that she doesn't have a present for me, but I say it's fine. Later on my mom is talking on the phone to someone, and she tells them about the teacher and how I looked really disappointed when I heard I wasn't getting a gift. I get mad at her because I don't think it was true at all. I'm watching a movie that starts out like "Salem's Lot" but turns into something more like "Rosemary's Baby." It changes and I'm part of the movie, myself. I'm at this dinner with a bunch of German high schoolers (they all speak perfect, unaccented English but I just know somehow that they're German). They're all wearing school uniforms - the boys in white shirts and brown pants, and the girls are in these brown plaid jumpers. I'm eating as much food as I can, because it won't turn me evil, but it will turn them evil if they eat a lot of it. I have three hot dogs and two hamburgers. The silverware you choose will also depend on how evil you get - if you pick out a fork and knife that are horizontal in the drawer, you will get more evil. I find out that you have to eat that food so you can breastfeed the evil baby, which I end up having to do for awhile. I'm watching another movie that is similar to "Poltergeist". This young boy is supposed to be watching his youngest sister (she's 2 or 3 years old) but instead he's just playing video games. There's a weird fire that starts in a couple of the rooms, and she gets covered in flames, but she doesn't get hurt at all. She ends up disappearing.

I'm seeing myself, only I don't look like myself. I'm older (late 20's, early 30's) and have longish brown hair. I'm laying in bed and there's someone standing at the foot of it, asking me questions. I won't say anything other than, "This monkey's gone to heaven." (from the Pixies song "Monkey Gone to Heaven")

Rose and her mom are visiting again. Her mom is a different person - a bit younger and really irritating. She's looking at this calendar we have and she says "Oh, I see you didn't list that we were coming on here." It's a whiteboard calendar and I point out that we did, but she had actually crossed it out. I'm talking to Rose and she says that for one of the days they're here, she wants to check into a hotel and then just do laundry all day. Later she tells me it's a dumb idea, after all. I'm driving on Lone Tree and I go through the Deer Valley High parking lot so I can make a u-turn. I've gotten back onto the road and there are these two girls just standing in the street, not moving. I honk and they finally move. It changes and I'm just walking, also pushing an empty shopping cart. I know the girls are angry and looking for me so I have to hurry. I get to Rose's car, which looks more like Maria's. We had planned to put the shopping cart in the trunk but realize it won't fit, so we just leave it behind. Before we can go, Dana takes a look around inside the car (she and Maria are there hanging out). Maria has a camera phone that belongs to either her or Michelle. The pictures on it are mostly of Michelle and her friends. In one of them, one of Michelle's friends named Bill is naked. I'm back at my house with Rose. We hear something that sounds like a bus and I say it must be my sister. I look out the window and it's a Ryder moving truck so I ignore it. I look out again and it's turned into a huge red bus. My sister is with all of her classmates and they're all a lot younger (elementary age). They all come into the house and they keep using one downstairs room to play a game called "funeral." Between each time they play, they run out of the house and then back in again. One time I get in before them into the room and I fix all of the chairs, trying to get them in even rows. The chairs are of all different sizes. A bunch of family members come over, and gather in that same room, so we can watch "Fahrenheit 9/11". To me the movie seems more like "Bowling for Columbine." It shows some kids at a toy store, playing with toy guns. They're at the store for a class field trip and the teacher dies somehow. Leigh is sitting near me and she asks me if I know that they show 'Roseanne' on channels 87 and 99 now. I'm someone different and I'm going to be throwing a party along with my mother-in-law, and she's worried that I'm going to mess it up. I've designed the ending credits for some movie, and I'm having a lot of problems getting them to work right but I finally do. The song that plays in the background while they're going on is "I Know This" by Somegirl.

I've fallen asleep at my computer desk and wake up to find it dark outside. I'm confused because the clock says it's only 4:11. I go out into the entry way, and the tall window up there shows it's night also. When I go into the kitchen, it's bright outside, and the clock now says it's after five. I ask my brother about it and he says that we have some garbage bags full of stuff upstairs that's blocking light from coming in certain places. I'm watching (and then become part of) a movie. It's about a girl who's dating her older dead sisters boyfriend. Most people think he killed her. I'm the girl and my friends keep asking me if I've slept with him yet, and I keep saying no. I walk upstairs with my friends and my mother comes in and asks me also. I say "Mom, I haven't slept with anyone, god, now leave me alone!" Then I'm sitting in the drivers seat of a car, and the boyfriend (he's older, blond, wearing a leather jacket) is tapping on the window to let me in. I'm not sure if I want to because I'm thinking he has a gun. I'm a little girl (not myself) and my mom and I have fallen in with these kidnappers. There's a man, a woman and another little girl. The guy had been arrested before, for possession of cocaine. He's telling us about how he can cure diseases by putting banana peels against the skin of the person who's sick. I'm in court testifying against the kidnappers and I'm talking about how the other little girl and I never had any privacy.

I'm over at my grandma's old house in Pittsburg. Everyone is bringing stuff over for a garage sale we're going to have. I'm looking at the stuff already gathered, and I see a cute porcelain figure that belonged to my cousin. I'm thinking about buying it but my grandma says she wants to sell it for no less than $300. I think to myself that I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it. I take a walk around the neighborhood and I'm circling my elementary school when I run into my uncle and his girlfriend. It's some major holiday - Thanksgiving or Christmas - and we're having a big dinner at our house, and just about everybody is there. Mark and Maria are there, also. Maria finds this box of pictures that we'd taken in high school, mostly on Halloween, and is looking through them. I have to run to the store to get something we've run out of, and I bump into Dana while I'm there. She's in line and talking to Anne on her cell phone. Anne was supposed to go to her house, and she's there already, too early. Rose is also in the same line, and she's buying a couple of baby blankets. One of them is mostly white, with some blue 'Precious Moments' characters on them. Mark comes up to where I am and he is trying to talk to Dana, but she runs off crying. It changes into my house, and Mark asks me why she would do that. I say I don't know, and I decide to walk over to her house and ask her about it. As an excuse to go over anyway, I start cutting up some fruitcake to take her. The fruitcake changes into a magazine, and I'm cutting out pictures to make cute little accessories (magnets and such).

I'm driving on Railroad Avenue and at some point it turns into Lone Tree. It changes to where I'm walking and I come to this dinky-looking plank bridge that is about 20 or 30 feet long. I am deciding whether to cross or not when I hear the sound of a train coming. I know that if I don't cross the bridge now I will have to wait until the train goes by, so I just go ahead and do it. I cross okay until the very end, where I almost fall off. When I'm on the other side, there are a bunch of random guys around and I'm nervous. I have my keys out and I'm holding onto my pepper spray, and one of the guys wants to know why. I'm somewhere filling out a form (maybe the doctor, there's a girl wearing scrubs but she isn't a nurse) and I have to list my old address. My old house had been haunted and so after we moved out, the house itself had been moved somewhere also. I write down the address as 1533 McMann (I have to look it up in the phone book first) and the name of the town starts with an R. The zip code is 91113 [not a real zip code]. I go home and my dad is using my computer to look up our old house on the Internet. My mom says it's so nothing like that will happen the next time we look for a house. I'm looking at this catalog of stuff you can get if you appear on the TV show 'Blind Date.' They have these kind of neat looking lamps in all different colors, and they're sparkly. I wish I had one but in the catalog it says that they have to choose the color for you, and I don't want the yellow one.

There's going to be a big party at my grandma's house and my mom and I are supposed to help get everything ready. They're at the old house in Pittsburg so we drive over, but the road is really weird. It's just one straight road with a single lane, and over a lot of little rolling hills. We come back to Brentwood to do something really quick, but it gets later and later. We don't leave to go back until after seven. In the driveway of their house is this little girl and a bunch of mechanical bunnies chanting, "Danger, danger." We're at home and some guy who lives across the street gets back to his house and goes in through the garage. My mom asks me, really loud, who went through their front door earlier? The guy gets mad, comes over and we start having a huge argument. He asks my sister something and we tell him not to talk to her. We go back inside, and we have a weird room in the back that turns out to be an apartment that some people are moving into. My mom helps them and so do a couple of guys from across the street (including the one we were arguing with). Maria and Dana and I are going to go on a trip to Las Vegas. Some older guy is also going there on business so he says we can go with him in his limousine. On the way we have to stop at this weird little place. Inside the room is one of those glowing Ouija boards and Dana wants to use it. The guy gets a call on his cell phone and says we have to go back. We ask if we can go ahead and take his limo on to Las Vegas, and he says no, so we start yelling at him.

I'm going to this boarding school or camp. Someone puts a poster of a mouth and teeth up on the wall, which is a signal that we have to change our rooms. My roommate thinks it's because of something I did and is annoyed. We get into a big group with all of the students, because everyone has to change rooms. No one likes me because I'm carrying two bags (a tote bag and another purse).
