I'm driving around by Big Lots and I see Zach, and stop to talk to him. We two and Angela go to Chili's for dinner, and she paid for the food and I paid for the drinks. It's Saturday and I'm in San Francisco. It's five in the afternoon and I go to this little place by BART so I can get a ticket to leave (I want to leave around seven). There are a bunch of other girls there. We all have to give this woman our credit or ATM cards so she can call the companies to have them tell her if we have enough money. She gives one girl a ticket and tells it her it can't be used until after Monday morning at 9:30. Most of the other girls get taken care of, and my info is taking forever to come back. I'm walking around the room and find a couple of carrots (they look like zucchini, though), wash them, and consider taking them home to make something for dinner. Finally my info comes through and I look at the paper it was faxed on. It lists me and all of the other girls, and it lists personal remarks about us (whether we're nice, etc). I ask the lady why and she says I shouldn't be looking at it and takes the page away. I ask her if I can leave right when I get my ticket or if I have to wait until seven (since that's what I originally said) but she won't answer me because a bunch of the girls have come back in to talk to her. I'm at Pitt and walking through the halls. Mr. Spelling's room is the only one with an open door in the hallway, and I see him in there (putting a paper on each desk) but I don't go in. I walk through just about every room in the school. I see my sister in her class and she gets mad and starts yelling at me. There's a bunch of kids angry about something, and I follow them. Everyone is climbing up these wooden, rickety looking stairs and I go with them. There's an Indian girl nearby and she tells me that James Bond is real now, not just a fantasy. The stairs start to break, and everyone has to jump down onto the sand. I say, "How many things in this school can break in one fucking day?" I'm walking around and I see this older couple throwing a boomerang. They're trying to hit me with it, so I run back over to the crowd of kids, thinking they won't risk hitting someone else.

I walk into Kaiser and in the hall, some doctor takes my blood pressure. It's really high - 170 over something. They try to take me in but I fight with them and run off. It changes to this alley outside my grandmother's house, and I've gotten into my Jeep. I'm trying to start it but it won't, though it is rolling along. The doctor is at the door trying to get in. I go on the road behind the apartments and she goes the other way. I'm watching something about these two brothers (not twins, though they do look identical) who are suspected of murdering someone in their town, and they're trying to get away with it because they're rich. There's this girl named Cecile they always pick on. There's another girl who becomes a suspect for the murder, and some redhead lady is trying to figure out who it is. The murderer (it doesn't show who it is) runs over Cecile with a bus. I'm in the kitchen and my mom says to get dessert ready. I look in the cupboard and there are all of these little cups filled with liquids - some blue, some green, some orange. They're next to jello boxes and my dad had made the desserts - when you put them in the oven, they change to a pie with a crunchy topping. The blue ones are blueberry, the green are apple, and the orange are orange. They're up on the high shelves and I have to stand on a chair to get them, and my brother comes over and is trying to tip the chair so I fall. I'm in my bedroom and my dad comes in with the vacuum. I say I don't need it since I just vacuumed yesterday, but then I look at the floor and realize I really could. But now he won't, and I say, "I have to wait a whole week?" He says I can do it again in three days. He looks sick and he asks if he can see my yearbooks. I think he's going to sign them and say OK. He brings them back soon, and says there's an extra copy that he got. There are a bunch of extra papers that look like photocopies. There's also a paper that lists me, my brother and sister and all of the dental work we need to have done.

I go back to my old office and say hi to the people who work there. My old boss has me close the windows and turn on the air conditioner. We're having this really huge party at my house (also huge). Rose is upset because Andrea told her that my mom wasn't at her baptism, and isn't her godmother at all, which is of course a lie. Maria and Dana are both at the party (I went to pick them up). We're looking at this really cool lunchbox that belongs to ? and Maria says her parents made her one, once. They had gotten this guy and his friend to leave (either Marine World or Great America) to come pick her up and hang out while they made it. I'm walking through the garage (looks like my grandma's old garage) while a bunch of kids are playing either dodgeball or volleyball. They hit me a repeatedly - once in the head, three times in the upper back - so I run into the house. Everyone is watching some DVD's and I show a movie that I'm working on. So far I only have the opening credits done. It's weird and scary and has this really cool looking font. Dana says it's really good. She gives me this movie to put on. It's called "Beauty Queen" with Cameron Diaz. It's about how she gets beaten up by a bunch of guys and has to have plastic surgery. I'm running around and being silly with Maria and this guy she kind of has a crush on. We're on this kind of swingset and we have to get down. There's a thing of ropes you could crawl out of, but it's tangled and too small. Maria jumps down but I'm scared because it's so high. Finally I get down, though. We are chasing each other up this weird flight of stairs that has bars that you have to climb through or over. There's a security guard there but she does nothing to stop us. There's a killer on the loose and I'm trying to figure out who it is. I'm at the beach talking to these girls who knew him. He's a real nerdy guy, with glasses and everything. They say he set up this thing for rich girls, to put their credit cards and car keys in when they're at the beach, and he charged them $9 each time to use it. One girl tells me she used it but never paid a dime. I'm looking through the papers and things there, and I see some stuff that belongs to an old neighbor, some stuff of my mom's (that lists her middle name as Madra?) and some things of mine that look like job applications. Everyone is out in the front yard and there's a little boy who's using sign language with me, but I don't know much. Inside I have his sister type something up. Her name is Margo (she keeps making mistakes and types her name as M6rgo). After awhile their dad takes the little boy off to bed. Not long after, a huge fire breaks out. It was set by the killer. Most people leave. One older guy says that now the killer won't come back there, so we can hide in those rooms and be safe. He goes in one and comes right back out, since it's still burning. The guy Maria likes is talking about how he actually saw the killer outside, and talked to him. He says he told the killer that he should get a different type of glasses (trifocals). While he's telling the story he keeps acting strangely and poking at me as if with a knife, and I'm wondering if maybe he's the killer, himself. I know Maria is thinking the same thing and is scared, so I say that I have to take her and Dana home right then. My mom says she'll come with me so we can stop at Barnes and Noble on the way back, even though the party is still going on. Before we leave Maria goes into the backyard and says goodbye to my grandma. When we're getting into the car I see that Dana and Maria both have their backpacks with them.

I'm hanging out with Angela and Dana. Angela is giving me a makeover, and I have to measure my bustline. I also have to use some nosedrops. I'm in my old bathroom and I'm looking in some cupboards under the bathtub. There are lots and lots of pills in there, many of them really old. I see one that's for heart problems and also some that are Tylenol with codeine. I hear my dad talking on the phone and I know he's planning to sell all the pills so I decide to take some of them to keep. I don't want anyone to hear me rummaging through the stuff so I flush the toilet to make noise. There's stuff in there and it starts coming out at the floor around the toilet. I try to rescue the stuff I was looking at (including some papers) before going and telling my parents. I'm hanging out with Dana and Lucy (who sometimes turns into Katherine). Maria comes over to watch my house while we go. Dana and Lucy climb out through my window and I keep talking to Maria. Finally I go outside and I'm about to get into the car when Maria runs out and asks me a question about some notebooks that I told her to take care of. I go back into the house, and the two composition notebooks (one red and one green) are on my bed, both open. I just shut them both and put them on my bookshelf. I go back outside and Maria follows me, saying she's decided to go with us. I'm glad until I realize that someone needs to stay at the house with my sister. I say I'll stay, but Maria says no, since she agreed to it. Dana is annoyed at her for keeping us so long. Lucy/Katherine is gone and Dana and I are just walking around the neighborhood. It's full dark outside. We run into these three guys (brothers) who take us to this weird hangout of theirs. It's like a family restaurant but there's also a weird maze. We follow them through it while they gossip about a bunch of people they know. On the way out of the maze, I almost lose track of Dana and Lucy (back again). I have to run after them and almost knock over this weird cardboard cutout of the guys' mom, and almost break a mirror. Dana and I go to this apartment in Berkeley. The people who live there - two guys, two girls - are already all in bed for the night. Dana and I start watching a movie, and she turns off the lights and then the movie itself. I ask if we're going to sleep there and she says yes. I say I can't, that we need to take a cab to BART before they shut down for the night. She says it will be expensive and I tell her I'll pay. I go to the living room to look at the phone book, but the first one I try has no listings at all for Berkeley, so I have to get another one. A girl comes out into the living room and tells us about something that had happened to her there, that she had woken up once to the sound of a slamming door, and then she felt vampires teeth at her neck. She starts playing "The Exoricst", but she plays it backwards - showing the last scene first, then the one before it, and so on.

I'm shopping at Ross and the store is practically empty. I take some stuff into the dressing room and there's a girl in there talking on her cell phone. I try on a necklace that has interchangeable pieces (a heart, and a little medallion of John Travolta?) but it's broken. I go back out into the store, and I find this cool purple watch, but that's broken also.

september 15
We're living in the old house. I go next door because I think no one is home, and I peek through this mail slot in their door. The neighbors are home after all and I tell them I had attached a letter to the mail slot, but it fell inside. They let me come in and look around for it. They're making pizza.

september 16
I'm working as a secretary for Mr. Stuart but he's hardly ever there. I have my own office, and I go in there to find something I think he left in there. I go tell him and he says it's a list of bills I need to pay with his credit cards. I go online to pay one and it's also a survey. This woman who is my "agent" calls me on the phone. Michelle and Maria and I have this job housesitting for a couple who is gone most of the time, but sometimes spend a night there. The agent tells me that they complained to her that we had forgotten to buy something they wanted (blue cheese salad dressing?) I'm insisting that we bought it, and when I think about it, I remember that we left it in their living room for some reason.

I'm back in high school and I have to go to the bathroom. I find it and it's a really huge room with a bunch of desks that are really toilets. You have to pull your pants down and then sit on the toilets, which aren't really like toilets, because there's this weird metal thing you have to sit on the right way for things to go in. I'm at home taking a bath, and the tub is so huge I have to swim in it. There's some guy in the bathroom who won't leave, so I tell my parents, who are right outside the window. They get all panicked and run in, thinking the guy is going to hurt me.

september 19
I'm at Kaiser and I go into a bathroom. I'm carrying a fork with me. There are two girls in the bathroom who are about to start fighting so I leave. They come out right after I do, and walk by. Some other girl whispers to me that if I say anything, those girls will want to fight me. I'm with a bunch of people and we're doing all of these Olympic-type events. I'm annoyed because they're going to make me run in a relay race but I don't want to. It changes to a treasure hunt, and my group ends up in the library. The librarian tells us she found a good way of exercising. You pick a certain book, take it to another shelf, put it there and take one from there, and keep doing that till you reach the other end of the library. Then you have to go back and put things in their right place again. I'm at home and there's a huge party going on, and everyone is outside in the front except for me. There's a bunch of pizza and I want to get some, but my mom comes in and tells me that some of it is cooked and some isn't, and I can't figure out which is which.

september 20
Rose and her mom are here. We're living at the old house, and Leah's kids are playing in my old room. The beds are pushed to one side so they have a play area. I keep getting paranoid that they're missing with my stuff, so I keep going to check on them. Rose is wearing these really cute jeans that have a big red heart on one of the back pockets.

september 22
It's time for my senior trip. Our whole class is at the airport. We have to wait outside in this weird loading area before going in. Outside with us is a class of elementary school children. A little boy gives me this nerf-like toy shaped like a fire hydrant. I give it to Dana. We go into the airport, and a few of us get separated and end up at the wrong front desk. We find the right one where the rest of our class is. A stewardess turns on the luggage carousel and I think I see mine coming around so I go up to it. The carousel isn't in a circle, it's just straight, so I follow it down this hallway. It changes to a bus where we had left our bags. I find mine under a seat and take it to this room off to the side. I want to look through my bag because I can't remember if I've packed enough clothes or not. As I go through the bag I separate stuff into piles (underwear, bras, etc). I see that I do have enough so I quickly shove it all back in. Way off in the far corner of the room I see someone who I think is Mr. Spelling, but he's blond, and also snorting cocaine. I pretend I didn't see and go back out to the room. It changes to my old house, and I find out everyone has gone to their hotel rooms already. My parents have the list of where all the students are. Students are grouped mostly alphabetically, but exceptions are listed, and I'm one of them. I see I'm supposed to be in room 25R. I'm worried that I'll forget, and I ask my parents if I can make a copy of the list, but they say no. As I'm walking around the house I see there are numbers for each of the rooms. My brother's room is 30 and the dining room is 25 (no R). I figure my room must be close by. I go to the hall closet, open it, and reach into the back to tap the wall, thinking maybe it's a secret entrance. It makes a weird sound when I touch it, and I fall back onto the floor. I get back up, and I look into the bathroom. Through the window (the window itself is closed but the blinds are open) I see a guy standing outside on a ladder. He's wearing a leather jacket and grinning at me. I freak out and close the blind all the way. As I'm leaving I look back and the blinds are open again. This time he's holding up a picture of my friends in their hotel room. From the picture I can see that I'll have to go outside, climb up the ladder and onto a balcony to get into my room. I'm thinking that I could get there normally if one of them would just come out and show me in. I'm upset and run to talk to my parents. My mom is kind of sad for me but she doesn't understand why I'm so worked up about it. I tell her it's because sometimes I dream something and it will come true in real life, and vice versa. To prove it, I throw this frog I'm suddenly holding in my hand onto the floor. The ladder guy comes in and I start screaming, trying to wake myself up, but it doesn't work. It changes and he's in a wheelchair. I'm pushing myself around in a rolling desk chair. We roll into the bathroom and look out at the window at this place he's going to turn into a restaurant.

september 24
I'm hanging out with this cute, funny guy at what is both a hospital and a police station. We work there but I don't know as what. We're on our lunch break and we find the lunch of this other guy we work with. To play a trick on him we steal this 2-pack of Hostess cupcakes out of his lunch bag and we're each going to eat one. Just as we're opening them he comes into the room so I hurry up and throw the whole bag into the garbage with some other trash lying around. The cute guy and I run off, doing other silly things around the hospital, like giving some guy at a desk this bottle of fake pills that are seriously huge. We go off into another room by ourselves and start kissing, and his lips are really cold. My mom and I are at this huge store that sells religious items. They have some stuff from just about every religion there. I buy this Virgin Mary statue (it's about four feet tall). That night I go to sleep, and I wake up to find the statue has moved from it's place in the living room to right next to my bed, staring at me. The next day we're all sitting around and I tell my parents about it. My mom says "Oh, you were probably just dreaming," and I insist that I wasn't. I'm really scared and I'm begging them to take it back to the store. My dad tells me he would but then he wouldn't be able to get the money back I paid ($50). I say it doesn't matter, thinking to myself that either: He takes the statue back and I can go later to get the money myself, or that it doesn't matter if I don't get the money back, I just want the statue gone. My mom says the reason I don't want to take it back myself is because I can use my ATM card as a real credit card and get $5,000 but I tell her I can not. I decide to just shower and get ready so I can get the statue back to the store. First I go to my bedroom because I want to get a necklace to "protect me." I close my door first and I start looking through my charms. I find the one I want, of the Virgin Mary (which I think to myself is kind of ironic) and I'm getting ready to put it on when my door opens slightly by itself, and I hear a sound like ceramic scraping against tile. The statue is flat on the ground, face side up, and sliding towards my door. It stands up and I start screaming (though it's hard for me to form words because I'm terrified), "By the power of Christ, I CONVOKE** YOU!"
**I thought I made the word up in my dream, but according to dictionary.com "convoke" means 'To cause to assemble in a meeting; convene.'
