Rose and I are at a hospital and trying to figure out how to leave. We take this weird slide we think will take us to the garage, but it just goes into a waiting room. I'm worried about climbing up the slide to get back up, but we find some stairs. We finally find the parking garage and I think, "Good thing I have some dollar bills so we can pay for the parking." I'm with Maria and a bunch of other people at a club. There is loud music playing and she was dancing, but now we're all sitting down at this table. She's flirting with this other guy at the table even though he has a girlfriend and I wonder what the point is. We leave, and we take her car, which is this huge SUV (a Bronco?). She starts the car but we both get out for some reason. I get back first and see a guy from the club climbing into the passenger side, and I follow. He scoots over to the drivers side and is messing around with the tape player. Maria gets into the back and buckles her seatbelt so we can go. There are some weird little lockers in the backseat. We are driving down this hill, and at the bottom is this pole that people are always hitting. On the pole is a list of bands that have hit it with their tour bus. KISS is listed three times and I say they should have just given in and started taking planes instead of driving. I'm with Rose and my mom in the first house I lived in. There is this evil guy there who can change into animals. He's trying to get me to do something I don't want to do and I'm trying to kill him. He changes into a pig and later a dog. I stab him with a regular knife and with this tiny axe/hatchet, but nothing works. I'm with Mark and we have the big SUV I thought was Maria's. We're messing around with the lockers. They have huge combination locks on them, and this other guy shoots holes through them so we can open the lockers. There are mostly old movie tickets in there, but I also put in a book ("The Haunting of Hill House") and a CD (Interpol's "Turn on the Bright Lights"). I meet with these other people - a blond girl my age, an older white guy, and an older black woman - in the woods. The woman is talking about the club that Maria and I had been to, and tells me that it used to be a Vidal Sassoon salon.

I'm driving around Pittsburg. There's a blackout in the whole town. I need to fill up my car and I go to a gas station at the corner of Railroad and Atlantic, but I'm worried about there being a problem since the power is out, so I leave. I go to LMC and walk around for awhile. When I try to leave, I can't get down the front steps because they have them blocked with a chain link fence. I find a security guard and tell him that I'm three months pregnant, and it's worth it to me to pay him something if he can find a way for me to leave. He isn't interested in taking the bribe. It changes to my house, and there are a lot of people staying there until the power goes back on. I decide to make up a bunch of little care packages/souvenirs for people. They each get a bar of soap and a new toothbrush. I'm putting them together, trying to figure out who gets one, when all the lights come back on.

I'm at the old house, in my bedroom. There are four boys, about 12 or 13 years old, walking around outside. They start trying to climb in through the window and at first I don't want to let them in, but finally do, making sure they replace the screen afterward. They tell me about how they'd been using a Ouija board and one of them went into a trance and was possessed by an evil spirit that was falsely claiming to be the Virgin Mary. They play a tape for me and it's really scary. I wonder if we should get an exorcist.

It's New Year's Eve and I'm at this huge party with Maria and a bunch of other people. It's past midnight already and everyone is really drunk, including me. We're all standing around and kind of pushing and falling all over each other, and someone pushes me so hard that I knock over this bar that's set up. This young blond kid standing next to it gets trapped under it for a minute, and I pull it off of him, but it's affected his hearing and now he's deaf. I freak out and get another girl to drive the three of us to a doctor. As we're leaving I yell to Maria that I'll be back as soon as I can. I'm worried that we'll have to drive somewhere far away, on the freeway, but the girl says she knows a doctor in Antioch we can go to. It's six in the morning and I'm back at home. I ask my mom if she can make a certain kind of pizza for dinner, but my dad is coming back from some trip and she says he won't want that and will be angry. I get annoyed and tell her to make whatever she wants. I call Maria on her cell phone, not wanting to wake anyone else if she's at her house, or thinking she might still be awake and at the party. Her voicemail comes on and I tell her I'll be back at the party later on that morning.
