tv's hot jerks
You know them not only in real life, but on your favorite television shows: The hot jerks, the guys you hate to love.
You can't convince me that you don't love when Simon Cowell brings awful "Idol" contestants back down to earth, where they finally realize that they suck. I dig his accent, and we have the same birthday.

Sure, Gordon Ramsay swears like a sailor and harshly insults chefs-to-be, but... that accent? The pretty blue eyes? He can cook dinner for me anytime.

Doug Wilson is pretty cute, especially with his hair turning gray, but like many interior designers he can be such a bitch.
There are actually lots of jerks on "CSI" but Wallace Langham as David Hodges is my favorite, because he's also a nerdy lab rat.

Jeremy Piven plays a feisty (aka "asshole") agent on HBO's "Entourage." He often has something funky going on with his hair, but it's too much fun to watch him get crazy.
How could I not love William Fichtner as Sheriff Tom Underlay on "Invasion"? Total egotistical jerk (at least in the beginning), but man, was he poured into that uniform. Plus the name "Underlay" makes me giggle.

On "Nip/Tuck" the beautiful Julian McMahon portrays the beautiful plastic surgeon Dr. Troy, who helps other people become "beautiful" - when he's not being a mean-spirited creep, I mean.

"Rescue Me" was nice enough to give us hottie firefighters Tommy (Denis Leary) and Franco (Daniel Sunjata, but did they also have to make them obnoxious jerks? Eh, what you gonna do.

As Detective Shane Vendrell on "The Shield," Walton Goggins generally ranges between slightly annoying and "OMG-I-hate-him!" But I can forgive a lot of things just as long as he keeps wearing tight pants.
