Animotion's "Obsession" now always makes me think of the "Nip/Tuck" episode in season four where Sean hallucinates about Escobar Gallardo screwing his (Sean's) annoying mistress Monica. And, consequently, the episode where she conveniently gets run over by a bus. Good times!

No real, in-depth blog post here; I'm just "checking in" so the blog has at least one entry for October. I'm still estimating an "opening" date of December 1, though I'm hoping for it to be sooner. I was doing great for those first couple weeks, but then I had my usual birthday fun and have started my new job - though, we're not cooking quite yet. I don't think I could ever run my own business; the stress of it would probably kill me!

Funny (as in, I'm dumb): I was thinking about how, given the choice, I'd prefer not to work at a company run by family members or married couples... and then realized most of my jobs have been at such places. The daycare/private school I worked at in 2004: Run by a married couple. The office I was at on-and-off between 2005 and this last summer: Run by brothers and involving other family members. The office I temped at for a month in July/August: Run by a married couple.

And at my new job: Once again, a married couple running the show. They're really awesome people, though, which is more than I can say for the majority of my past bosses - definitely with the exception of the brothers, who had their quirks but are in general kickass.
