So the bright part of my miserable last couple days has been finally watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" from Netflix. I literally can't laugh because I start wheezing and dying, but it's been pretty hilarious. I definitely like the simple and usually inappropriate episode titles, too: "Charlie Gets Molested," "Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom", etc. I may as well be up front and admit that I totally have a crush on Rob McElhenny, who plays Mac. He's got an adorable face (I don't usually like facial hair, but it works on him) and a hot little bod. I also want the shirt he's wearing in this picture:

It took me awhile to figure out that the dude who plays Dennis was the main character on the short-lived "That 80's Show" from a few years ago. Seriously, wasn't that on for only like five episodes? This isn't a complaint from me; I love anything 80s-related but that show was really dull. I was also confused as to how and why they didn't just have "That 70's Show" progress into the 80s, but, whatever.
One good thing about my sickness: I can still taste! For dinner we had these chicken breasts that were filled with some combination of cheeses (brie, something else - maybe blue cheese?) and apple and cranberries. So delish. Probably something I could make, too... if I wanted to get all fancy and do annoying stuff like flattening and pounding chicken, and somehow getting the filling to stay inside it.
I'm amazed that Christmas is only ten days away! I had to admit I was mostly looking forward to it because I have some respectable time off; well, I've had a couple days off now, but I'm sick so I can't actually enjoy them. Anyway. I am definitely still looking forward to the holiday itself. Getting more Christmas cards in the mail (hopefully), giving people their presents, seeing all the lights; all that corny stuff.
I'm off too... well, do nothing, actually. I'm hoping to get a night of sleep that's as good as, or hopefully even better, than the one I had last night. I didn't even have any scary NyQuil dreams, yay! Um, maybe because I'm taking Tylenol Cold... but all cold medicines are basically the same, I think? Just good enough to get you to take them, but not so good that you can actually function normally.

"Sunny" is like a warped gift from a playful God. The titles are examples of comic divinity in action. I'm usually choking the moment I read them.
Add that opening soundtrack they have, which conjurs images of your mom having a pleasant walk through the women's aisle in Woolworth's and you have the perfect setup for the wrongness that ensues.
The show is so refreshingly politically incorrect. You almost have to give yourself permission to laugh.
