I was down, you taught me to stand
Since it was five years ago, I'd forgotten how obnoxious and difficult the moving process can be. Well, I got to re-learn it all last weekend... and it's still going on.

Our mail is just finally starting to emerge from USPS limbo. My first piece of mail at the new place: the Comcast bill. Of course! We got service switched over here last Saturday, and they didn't waste a minute printing our bill and mailing it over. I got it yesterday, opened it, and almost passed out when I saw $350 glaring up at me. Say what?

$140 of it was moving/new installation charges, or whatever they call it, which is a total crock because they didn't do it correctly or all-at-once as they were supposed to. My dad called, gave them a "talking to," and got the bill back into it's normal $200-ish range. Still not an ideal amount, but one I can deal with.

I intended to get up super early this morning so I could run errands before it got hot, but actually fell back asleep until seven. By the time I made it over to Target, it was already full of - for some reason - millions of apparently unattended, poorly behaved children. I got a pink-and-clear plastic storage bin for all my girly beauty stuff, and a pink-and-brown storage thing to hang over the door. I'm really liking the way my room is coming together; pictures to come someday...
