Okay, so it's been awhile! Lately, I've been multi-tasking so many different things that I have neglected almost all of them... most of all the new site. I'm still aiming for a December 1 "opening" (like this was a frigging store or something) but, to be honest, it is quite far down on my list of priorities.

Speaking of openings, the grand opening for the restaurant is in two days! I normally don't work Wednesdays, but will be filling in for a few hours in the morning for a co-worker whose husband is having some type of minor surgery (an oxymoron, that), then leaving to do some stuff, then coming back for the ribbon-cutting and a bit of the festivities before going to school. Whew!

Besides working till I drop, I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year. As of this moment, my word count is 9,217... about half of what it should be, assuming that I write the same amount every day. In 2004, my first year doing NaNo, I only reached 26,000 words; if I don't "win" this year (though I intend to!) I aim to at least beat that. My novel is hardly a literary masterpiece, but I'm just enoying the writing for itself - and for right now, that is what matters most.
